In Squirrel Class, we are very lucky to have many helpful, knowledgeable and kind adults to support the children to grow, achieve and succeed.
Miss Harrison teaches in Squirrel Class on a Monday and Tuesday and enjoys promoting and facilitating child-led learning across the curriculum. On non-teaching days, Miss Harrison leads inclusion and vulnerable groups across the school. This includes Pupil Premium and Special Educational Needs. As SENCO, Miss Harrison is responsible for coordinating the education, care and welfare of children within these groups. As well as this, she coordinates outreach, family and parent support to the school community with the support of The SEND Team.
Mrs McCulloch teaches in Squirrels on a Thursday and Friday. She enjoys helping the children explore the world around them and learn about their environment. She loves reading stories and encouraging children to develop their imagination and creative skills.
Mrs Nichol is Squirrel Class Teaching Assistant in the mornings. She has worked in Reception for several years and has so much knowledge of Reception Year at The Oaktree School. Mrs Finch is the Teaching Assistant in the afternoons, she is kind and caring and supports children through all their learning experiences.
We also have a number of Special Educational Needs Assistants who work in Squirrel Class through various times of the day. They support children who have additional needs, as well as run small group or intervention activities.
